Basemaps and Street ViewCopy link

Routing24 runs on two basemaps, and which one you see depends on your plan. The planning features work the same on both; what changes is the map imagery, the address search behind it, and Street View.

OpenStreetMap on the free planCopy link

Free plans use OpenStreetMap tiles rendered with MapLibre. It is a full world map, and everything described in Navigating the map works on it: zoom, search, right-click lookup, pin dragging, route colors. Address search and the what's-here lookup run on OpenStreetMap data, which covers regular street addresses well but is thinner on business names and points of interest.

Google Maps on Starter and ProCopy link

Paid plans switch the same map view to a Google Maps basemap. The differences beyond the imagery:

• Google Places search. The map search box and the address fields across the app search Google's places database: better hit rates on partial addresses, business names, and new developments.
• Google reverse lookup. The right-click what's-here card resolves against Google data as well.
• Street View, covered below.

Pro plans additionally include Google Maps traffic. Plan details and prices are on the plans and billing page; the map switches automatically with your plan.

Street ViewCopy link

A pin can be in exactly the right place and still miss what matters on arrival: the entrance is around the corner, the street is too narrow for the truck, the "address" is a locked gate. Street View answers those questions before dispatch.

On the Google basemap, drag the orange figure (bottom-right corner of the map) onto any street. The view splits into two panes: the map stays live on one side and the street-level panorama opens on the other. Pins remain clickable while the panorama is open.

While the panorama is open:

• Your order pins are drawn inside the panorama itself, for locations within about 300 meters.
• Drag the divider between the panes to resize them.
• The layout button in the map's control stack toggles the split: Move Street View to the bottom / Move Street View to the right.
• Close Street View (the × button in the panorama's corner) returns to the full map.

A Street View pass over new or unfamiliar addresses surfaces problems a pin does not show: no parking, no loading zone, a mislocated pin one building off. Fix what you find with Customize, as described in Edit orders, depots, and addresses on the map.
