Optimization results on the mapCopy link

After an optimization, every stop pin is filled with its route's color and numbered in visiting order, the route lines connect them in the same color, and depots show as white pins with a colored rim and a D (the full pin glossary is in Navigating the map). The map is also where a result can be corrected: any stop can be dragged onto another route without touching the list.

The examples use the Time windows plan (12 orders, 2 vans); load it and press Optimize:

Click a stop pin and a card opens with the order id and address, then a line with the ETA and the travel time and distance from the previous stop, and below them the order's time windows, service duration, and load. The card in the screenshot reads 11:41 8 min 2.1 mi: the driver arrives at 11:41 after 8 minutes and 2.1 miles of driving from the previous stop. Every text line on the card is click-to-copy.

Hover over the card (on touch screens they are always shown) and two buttons appear beneath it:

  • Find highlights the stop's row in the routes list and scrolls it into view. Use it to find which route and stop number a pin belongs to.
  • Close dismisses the card. Clicking empty map space does the same.

There is no Edit button here: order details are edited from the data pages' pin cards or the list. The depot's D pin opens the same kind of card for the depot.

You can re-route an order directly on the map: press and hold a stop pin until it lifts, then drag it.

  • As you drag near a route line, a live tooltip shows what a drop would do, for example Visit on route 2 · before stop 3, with the would-be stop number shown in the target route's color. Move along the line and the insertion point follows.
  • Drop it there and the move is applied like any other manual edit: the engine re-validates the route, ETAs update, and the change lands in undo history.
  • To abandon a drag: while the tooltip reads drop anywhere to undo, releasing the pin cancels the move.

If you selected several stops in the list first, dragging one pin moves the whole block, and the tooltip shows the count, for example (3 orders).

Manual edits and re-optimizing

Map edits behave like all manual edits: a full Optimize run replaces the current solution and does not preserve your hand-made moves. Fine-tune on the map after your final solve, not before it.
