Routing24 plans and optimizes routes in your browser, on your computer. Two operations require Routing24 servers: geocoding and the travel matrix between your addresses. The AI features send data to outside providers only when you start them. Plans are stored in your account's data region. A shared route link opens only for the emails on its allow-list.

This page states where your route data is sent: customer addresses, volumes, and working hours. The formal policies are at routing24.com/privacy and routing24.com/terms.

Optimization runs in your browser

The route optimizer runs in the browser tab, on your computer. When you press Optimize, the optimizer builds the routing plan from your orders, vehicles, and constraints locally. The optimization itself never runs on a server. It depends on the two server calls listed below.

What is sent to Routing24 servers

Two operations require a server request, and both are sent to Routing24's own services:

• Geocoding. When an address needs coordinates, Routing24 sends the address text to resolve it to a point on the map.
• Travel matrix. Before an optimization, Routing24 sends the coordinates of your addresses to compute real driving distances and times between them.

Both requests include a token issued for your account.

The AI features described below also send data off your computer, to companies other than Routing24. Nothing else in the product does.

AI features and outside providers

Routing24 has two AI features. Neither one sends anything until you start it.

The built-in chat. Your message, and the parts of your plan needed to answer it, leave your browser. Asking why stop 14 is unassigned sends that stop's address, its time window, and the vehicle data the answer depends on. The request is sent first to Cloudflare, which checks your identity and applies your plan's limits, and is then answered by a Google model. Cloudflare keeps a rolling log of these requests and the replies, tagged with your account id.

The MCP server. An AI assistant you connect reads and changes your Routing24 data on your instruction. You connect one by minting a key in the app or approving a consent screen, and you can revoke either at any time from your account. The company running that assistant, for example Anthropic, OpenAI, or Microsoft, receives whatever data the assistant asks for. That company is not a Routing24 subprocessor. How long it keeps the data, where it processes it, and whether it trains on it are set by your agreement with that company, not by ours. Check those terms before you connect an assistant to an account holding your customers' addresses and phone numbers.

Routing24 does not use your data to train AI models, and does not permit the providers behind the built-in chat to do so. That commitment cannot cover an assistant you connect yourself.

Where plans are stored

Plans auto-save to Google Cloud Storage in your account's data region. At sign-up Routing24 detects your approximate location from your connection and picks the closest region automatically. The sign-in dialog shows the chosen region under Data region. The region is fixed at registration. Signing in later from another country does not move your data to a closer region. It stays only where you registered first. Plan data stays in that region's storage location:

• Signed in: plans belong to your account and open from any browser where you sign in.
• A plan made without an account saves in that browser until you sign up, then transfers to your account. See Accounts, saving, and sharing.

Who can see a shared route

Sharing is per route and off until you enable it. A shared route link opens only for the email addresses you put on its allow list, plus you. Remove all the emails in the Share route dialog and the link stops working. A share link exposes only its own route, not the rest of the plan.

Use of your data

Routing24 uses your data to geocode your addresses, compute your travel times, store and load your work, and run the AI features you start. It does not sell your data and does not use it for any purpose beyond those operations. Section 5 of the Privacy Policy lists every outside company involved and what each one receives. Exported workbooks are files on your computer, outside Routing24's control.

How long it keeps the data and whether it trains on it are set by your agreement with that company. You can revoke the connection at any time.
