Import your stopsCopy link

There are four ways to add stops, all reachable from the Home page or the Orders page, and they can be mixed in one plan.

Add a single order by addressCopy link

On the Orders page, press + Add new, type an address, and pick the right match from the suggestions. Routing24 geocodes it to an exact point on the map and saves it as an order.

Use this for a one-off stop or to replace a missing one. If the address will not resolve, place the pin by hand: choose Customize in the order editor and drag the pin to the exact door.

Paste a list of addressesCopy link

On the Home page, press Paste address list. Paste your addresses, one per line. Routing24 geocodes each line and opens a wizard:

The paste-address dialog: one address per line, at least two addresses, with tips for accuracy

The wizard then asks for your starting (home) location, your number of vehicles and working hours, and a default service time per stop, and can start the optimization. If some lines cannot be located, a fix-up step with tips comes before anything is imported.

Tips to improve address geocoding quality

Include enough detail per line (street, city, postal code where you have it) so each address resolves to the right place.

If you have full address from Google Maps, use it instead.

Further, try to remove personal data (names, floor and apartment numbers) as it can lead to incorrect geocoding.

Upload a spreadsheetCopy link

For larger or recurring routes, press Import Excel file on the Home page, or More > Import from Excel on any list page. Routing24 reads XLSX, XLS, or CSV: one row per stop, with columns for the address and any per-stop details you track. Orders, depots, and vehicles can all come from one file.

Every import ends on a review dialog that reports what was found:

If some rows have problems, the dialog lists each one with its sheet, cell, and consequence, and you can still import the valid rest.

Start from the template

Press "Download template" on the Home page (or More > Download template on any list page) to get a spreadsheet with the right headers and example rows for your area. Fill it with your data and re-import it.

Only the address column is required. The full set of recognized columns, time windows, loads, priorities, tags, and more, is in the spreadsheet column reference.

Import from Google CalendarCopy link

Press Import calendar on the Home page to turn calendar events into orders. You authorize your Google account, pick the calendars and the date range, and Routing24 creates one order per event, using the event location as the address and, optionally, the event time as the delivery time window.

After importingCopy link

Check the map: every stop should sit roughly where you expect. Unresolved addresses carry a red NOT GEOLOCATED badge on the Address Book page. See Fix unrecognized or mislocated addresses.

Add a vehicle and depot, then optimize. The 5-minute first route walks the whole flow, with a ready-made example plan to practice on.
